Connexions Direct is a web and telephone-based information service for young people aged 13-19 (25 if you have a learning difficulty or a disability, or both).

The website is available all the time. Connexions Direct advisers are available seven days a week, from 8am-2am. They will talk to you in confidence about anything that is troubling you.

The website and advisers can give information, advice, guidance and support on anything that might concern you including:

  • Careers
  • Education and learning
  • Free time
  • Health
  • Housing
  • The law, your rights and responsibilities
  • Money
  • Personal development
  • Relationships
  • Sex and sexuality
  • Volunteering
  • Work and training.

Calls from a landline are free so they won't show on a phone bill. Some calls from a mobile are charged and may show on a phone bill but if you ring on your mobile - they will call you back. If you call using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) the call will not be charged but may show on your bill.

You can text for simple information like telephone numbers. Please don't waste your money sending picture messages as their system doesn't support them.

CXD helpline advisers are now able to offer anyone contacting the helpline service by mobile phone, a free SMS text message containing contact details for their local Connexions service.  This initiative enables callers to save Connexions service contact details in their mobile phone for future reference.
